James Ruehmann, Founder and Chairman

Born and raised in Colorado, James Ruehmann currently studies Business Administration with a concentration in Energy and Land Management at Colorado Mesa University.

In February, James founded Colorado First Action, a grassroots, federally registered non-connected political action committee focused on identifying and electing candidates who prioritize Colorado’s interests.

He previously co-founded the High School Republican National Federation, where he served as Executive Director from 2022 to 2023. James has also worked as a communications consultant for the Colorado Republican Party and held positions on Centennial’s Youth Commission and as a legislative aide to Representatives Anthony Hartsook (House District 44) and Richard Holtorf (House District 65).

His campaign experience includes supporting Heidi Ganahl’s 2022 gubernatorial race and coordinating volunteer operations for Francoise Bergan’s successful 2023 Aurora City Council campaign.

Driven by a America First philosophy, James remains committed to advancing conservative state-level policies and promoting the responsible development of Colorado’s energy sector.
