Robert Hammes is a dedicated political strategist and field director. In his role, he manages canvassing efforts, coordinates volunteer activities, and implements comprehensive field strategy plans to engage the local community and support key candidates.

Prior to his work at Colorado First Action, Robert served as the Growth & Development Manager at the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, where he managed business retention programs, monitored and reported on legislative actions, and supported economic development initiatives. He worked closely with local businesses, ensuring their voices were heard in policy decisions and fostering partnerships to enhance the community’s economic growth.

Robert also held leadership roles at Colorado Mesa University, where he represented over 10,000 students as a Senator and Vice President in the Associated Student Government. He played a pivotal role in advocating for student wellbeing, managing a $5M budget, and helping guide institutional policy decisions to improve student life and campus resources.
