Colorado’s budget crisis is the direct result of failed leadership. Instead of preparing responsibly, Democrats at the Capitol spent years overspending and expanding government programs, and now they’re scrambling in a special session to patch a hole they helped dig.
Coloradans are already stretched thin by higher prices for housing, food, gas, and insurance. The last thing young families need is another Democrat scheme that chips away at TABOR refunds, piles on new fees, or shifts the burden to working people.
We’re partnering with the Colorado Young Republicans during this special session to demand outcomes that help young families, not slow them down.
We Demand the following:
Balance the budget without new taxes or fees. Democrats must live within existing revenues.
Protect TABOR. Stop raiding the refunds Coloradans depend on.
No tax on tips or wages. Don’t balance the budget on service workers’ backs.
Cut waste before cutting services. Audit bloated bureaucracies and corrupt state funded NGOs, not classrooms or public safety.
No hidden agendas. Keep this special session focused on the budget, not Democrat wish-lists.
Your signature will be delivered to legislative leadership at the special session and included in a formal demand letter.
